Mrs. Delia Patnode
Mrs Delia Patnode passed away
suddenly at her home in Ellenburg
Center at 8:15 o’clock Sunday evening.
She had been in declining
health for two or Three years, but
her demise was brought about by a
sadden attack of Indigestion, which
terminated in her death after an
hour’s illness.
Mrs. Patnode was born 72 years
ago in Clinton, a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Albert Gagnier, pioneer
residents of that town. Fifty-three
years ago she was united in marriage
to Peter Patnode. who passed
away twelve years ago. Following
their marriage they resided for a
time in Clinton, later moving to
Ellenburg, which place had been
their home for the past thirty rears.
Mrs. Patnode was a woman of
fine attainments and possessed a
Christian character that reflected!
in an outstanding way to those who
were favored with her acquaintance.
she was a fond and loving mother,
giving her greatest endeavors to
those who were near and dear to
her. She was held in the highest
regard in the community and her
death is sincerely mourned by a
multitude of friends
She leaves surviving nine children,
Mrs. Frank Regnler. of Springfield,
Man., Edward, William E.,
and Samuel, of Ellenburg Center,
Stella, or Schenectady, Martha, who
resides at home, Mrs. Otis Brothers,
of Chazy, Mrs. Lawrence Broderick,
of Chateaugay, and Clarence, of
Churubusco; also two sisters and
six brothers, Mrs. James Seymour,
of Bellmont, Mrs. Louis Reenter, of
Springfield, Mass., Edgar G 8. and
Joseph Gagnier. of Churubusco, Albert
and Samuel, of Springfield,
Mass., James, of Malone, and Brogtant.
Funeral services were held at St.
Edmund’s Church in; Ellenburg, on
Wednesday morning, Rev. O. A.
Boyer officiating.
