Frank Murray
The community was shocked to
learn of the death of Frank Murray,
which occunred at his home on John
Street last Friday evening at 10
o’clock. Mr. Murray had been confined
to the house for the past two
weeks with a severe cold and had
practically recovered from this aliment
when a sudden heart attack
brought about the end.
The deceased was born in the town
of Saranac on December 25, 1863,
and his younger days were passed
there. For a few years he resided in
Ironwood, Michigan. He came to
Chateaugay 32 years ago, and has
resided here continually. He engaged
in the livestock business and was
widely known throughout the surrounding
community as an excellent
buyer and judge of cattle. As a citizen
and member of the community he
was held in the highest repute for his
honesty of purpose and fair-minded-
ness in business affairs. He was a
life long Democrat in politics and a
member  of St. Patrick’s church. O
a happy and joval disposition he
made a host of friends and at his.
passing is deeply felt
Forty five years; ago he was united
 to marriage to Miss Elizabeth Welch
 and he leaves his widow, three daught-
ers and five sons, Miss Kathryn Murray,
of Oneida, Mrs. Mary Shackett
,and Mrs. Mildred Lafave, of Saranac
Lake, James, of Saranac Lake, Fran-
cis, of Hudson, Richard, Leo and Ed-
ward, of Chateaugay, and one brother,
James, of Plattsburgh.
 The funeral services were held at
 St. Patrick’s church on Monday
morning, Rev. J. H. Kennedy offl-
elating and interment was made in
St Patricks cemetery.
Among the out of town relatives
who attended the funeral were: Miss
Kathryn Murray, of Oneida, Mr. and
Mrs. James Murray, Mrs. Mary
Shackett and Mrs. Mildred Lafave,
of Saranac Lake; Francis Murray, of
Hudson, James Murray, of Plattsburgh;
John Kennedy and Mrs.
Ryan, of Waddtogton; James Kennedy,
of Dannemora; Williiam Maddiem,
Mr. and Mrs. James Madden, of
Lake Placid; James Redd, Mr. and
Mrs. Edward Read, of Fort Edward.
