Walter R. Trombley
Ellenburg DEPOT –
Walter R. Trombley, 65, of the
Forest Road, died Wednesday,
Feb. 8, 1989, at CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh.
He was born in Saranac Lake
on July 27. 1923. the son of Leo
and Matilda (Duquette)
Mr. Trombley worked at Diamond
National Paper Company
for five years. McGuire’s
Overhead Door Company for 15
years, until 1973. and then al
Pole Lite Company in Champlain
until retiring in 1978 due to illness.
He was a member of St. Edmund’s
Church in Ellenburg
Depot and the Knights of Columbus
in Ellenburg Depot.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Bertha Nephew of Ellenburg
Depot: four sons, Arnold
and Wayne, both of Keeseville.
Terry of Barto, Pa., and Kenneth
of Plattsburgh; six daught
ers  , Mrs. Martin (Betty)
Gregory Jr. of Ellenburg Center,
Mrs . Eugene (Isabelle)
Cassavaugh of Lewis, Mrs
Michael (Joyce) Hanen of Orlando,
Fla., Mrs. Ronald (Sandra)
King of Ellenburg Depot, Mrs
Arnold (Sharon) King of West
Chazy and Joan Trombley of
Orlando. Fla,; a brother. Loren
Trombley of Pensacola. Fla..
three sisters, Mrs. Clarence
(Margaret) Miner of Plattsburgh,
Mrs. David (Florence) Supernaw
of Savannah, Ga., and Mrs. Betty
Dickson of Glens Falls; 22
grandchildren and several nieces
and nephews.
Calling hours will be held today
from 2 to 4 and 7. to 9 p.m.
at the R.W. Walker Funeral
Home. A Mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated on Friday
at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s
Church in Plattsburgh with the
Rev. Gilbert Menard, pastor of
St . Edmund’s Church,
celebrating the Mass. Entombment
will be in Whispering
Maples Mausoleum in Plattsburgh
