Frank Betters
PLATTSBURGH – Frank
Betters, 63, of Russell Barnard
Apartments, formerly of Peru,
died Saturday, Feb. 25, 1989, at
CVPH Medical Center.
He was born March 23, 1925
in AuSable Forks, the son of
Frank and Rachael (Clair) Betters.
– Mr. Betters was a Teamsters
truck driver in the area for many
years: A World War II U.S.
Army veteran, he was a member
of Benevolent and Protective
Order of Elks Lodge 1505 of
Keeseville, Knights of Columbus
Council 255 of Plattsburgh, Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post 1466
of Beekmantown and American
Legion Post 20 of Plattsburgh.
Survivors include his wife,
Dorothy (Nugent) Betters of
Plattsburgh; one son, Joseph
Shelley of Plattsburgh; three
d a u g h t e r s , Mrs. Ronald
(Patricia) Coolidge of Lake
Placid, Katherine Shelley of
North Creek and Mrs. Orville-
(Deborah) Keyes of Peru; one
brother, Howard Betters of
AuSable Forks; two sisters,
Marion Betters of Plattsburgh
and Blanche B e t t e r s of
Harkness; four grandsons,
Shawn, Collin, Cory and Benjamin
and several nieces and
nephews.
There will be no calling hours
or funeral service. Following
cremation, entombment will be
in Whispering Maples Memorial
Gardens, Plattsburgh.
Donations may be made to the
Adirondack Branch of the American
Lung Association. Arrangements
are by Brown Funeral Home.
