Helen Knapp   
ELLENBURG CENTER — Helen Knapp, 74, of the Star Road, Ellenburg Center, where she had been making her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Paul King, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Plattsburgh, N.Y.

Born in Sharon, Conn., on Oct. 13, 1932, she was the daughter of Harrison and Mary (McIntyre) Grey.

She was married to Robert Knapp on Sept. 12, 1964. He predeceased her in 1997.

Mrs. Knapp is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Paul King of Ellenburg Center; a brother and three sisters-in-law, Vincent and Theresa Grey of Clinton, Edith Grey of Amenia, Helen Knapp of Poughkeepsie; and many cousins; nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Arthur Grey.

Mrs. Knapp was employed by Meadowbrook Health Care, Plattsburgh, for many years as a nurse’s aide before making her home in Dover Plains.

Calling hours will be held at the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 900 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, N.Y., on Saturday, March 17, from noon to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Church of the Resurrection Episcopal Church, Hopewell Junction.

Burial will take place at Clover Valley Cemetery, LaGrangeville, N.Y.

Local arrangements are through the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
