Wilfred Gonyea

W i l f r e d M. G o n y ea
services for Wilfred M. Gonyea,
62, a native of Chateaugay Lake,
were held at St. Afphonsus’
Church, Tupper Lake, Wednesday.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Gonyea was born at Chateaugay
Lake July 25, 1899, a son
of Fred and Mina (Lapointe)
He resided at Tupper Lake for
about 41 years. He was a lumberman.
He was injured in a logging
accident in 1951, forcing bis retirement.
He is survived by his widow,
the former Lydia Miller of Dannermora
five sons, Louis, Richard,
Leonard and Gordon Gonyea
of Tupper Lake and Maynard
Gonyea of Great Falls, Mont.
There also are 25 grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
Also, three brothers and sis
sisters survive. They are Fred
and Wilbert Gonyea of Plattsburgh
and Edward Gonyea of
Lyon Mountain, Mrs. Dora Mc-
Kinney, Mrs. Sarah Ryan and
Mrs. Frances Brooks of Albany,
Mrs. Geraldine Corron.and Mrs:
Irene McKinney of Lyon Mountain
and Mrs. Lena LaPorte of
