The funeral of Mrs. Mary Reiger,
wife of the late Michael Reiger, of
Wauzeka, Wisconsin, was held at
Wauzeka at 10 o’clock on Friday
morning, April 24th, at the Sacred
Heart Church, where a requiem
high mass was celebrated by Rev.
Francis Brickl.
The deceased, whose madden name
was Mary Whalen was born February
25, 1846, in the town of Clinton,
and resided there until about
forty two years ago, when she ac.
companied her uncle to Wisconsin.
She was the eldest and last survivor
of seven children born to
John and Bridget (Sweeney) Whalen
, who resided on the Lost Nation
road in Clinton.
Her health had been excellent until
last December when she suffered
a severe fall, and was a patient
in The New Sun hospital In Paine
du Chien until six weeks ago, she
was taken to a private home and
cared for, Heart condition was attributed
as the cause of her death.
She is survived by three stepsons,
Fred, Edward and Orie Reiger, all1
of Wauzeka, Wis., besides several
nieces and nephews.
The pall bearers were: William
Day, John Tesar, William Herold,
Lu Vern Dobson, William Zlabck
and Frank Nets.
Interment was in Wauzeka ceme
tery beside her late husband, with
Rev. Brickl officiating at the grave.
