ELLENBURG DEPOT – Funeral
services for Rufus H. Patnode,
81, who died at his home
here Sunday after a long illness,
will be held Wednesday at 9:30
a.m. at St. Edmund’s Church
in Ellenburg
Patnode, a retired carpenter,
was born in Churubusco July
20, 1882, the son of John and
Jane (Hawksby) Patnode.
He had lived in Ellenburg for
45 years.
He is survived by his wife,
the former Jennie Barcomb;
six sons, Raymond of Pittsburgh,
Floyd of Massena, Francis
of Ellenburg, Walter of
Syracuse, Gerald of Baltimore,
Md., and William of Hayward,
Calif.; three daughters, Mrs.
Roxie Sweeney of Big Sur,
Calif., Mrs. Irene Hodlin of
Massena and Mrs. Harold (Madora)
LaBombard of Massena;
a brother, John of Pittsfield,
Mass., and a sister, Mrs. Dayton
Hutchins of Ellenburg Center.
The body is at the Drown
Funeral Home where calling
hour,? are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Bulla! will be in Riverside
Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
