Dear Miss Casier:
You do not know me but I am a shipmate of your brothers and I want to tell you about him. We had a fire when we were up in India and I was overcome by gas fumes along with another fellow and we were laying on the deck Frank came down through the fire to close some tank tops and found us there. After he finished he returned and carried us to safety even though the ship was expected blow up any minute. Six members burned to death but Frank saved OUR lives. Please tell his father and mother and all his friends. He doesn’t know I wrote you.
