DIED THURSDAY
After a long and painful illness Mrs. David King
passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jerome Casier,
of Chateaugay, Thursday morning at the age of 68 years. Mrs. King
had been in declining- health for the past few years. In the last few
weeks her condition had been such as to cause
her rel- atives extreme worry, the last three weeks being
especially a period of anxiety as the patient suf fered
intensely nearly all the time Howevver, as the end approached,
her sufferings seemed to have relaxed and her passing was quiet
and peaceful. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Alfie and
Elder King; two daughters, Mrs. Jerome Casier and Mrs. Wilmer Clark,
and six grandchildren.

A very pretty wedding took place in
Moirrisonville, April 9, at the residence
of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Sutherland,
when flheir eldest dauighter, Alice
Edilth, was united in Marriage to
Henry Arthur Riley, of West Plattsburgh.
Promptly at 7 o’clock, the
groom and his nephew, Dr. G. R. Anderson,
of Brattleboro, Vt, entered the
parlors to the strains of Lohengrin’s
Wedding March, rendered by Mrs. F.
J. Riley, of Malone, and took positions
in a (bower of evergreens and potted
plants. The bride followed, attended
by Miss Hattie Riley, sister of the
groom, as maid of honor. The Rev.
S. C. Dare performed the marriage
ceremony, and after congratulations,
dainty lunch was served by a bevy
of pretty youmg laidies.
The bride was attired in a gown of
white organdie, and carriet white carnations,
and the. maid of honor wore
wihite mull and .carried red carrnations.
The groom and best man wore the customary
black. The presents were
both rumerous and beautiful.
The bride and groom are among the
most popular young people of this victinty
and have the best wishes of a host of friends
the happy couple left for Plattsburgh
amid a shower of rice, and took
the south bound train for a short wedding
trip. On their return they will
be at home to their friends after

Xavier King, 64, a lifelong resident
of Chasy Lake, passed away at his
home Tuesday noon following a lingering
Illness of several months duration
Mr. King was well known
throughout northern New York, and
his many friends will regret to hear
of his passing,
He is survived by four sons: Filmore
of Plattsburg, and Howard,
Exford and Sullivan of Chasy Lake;
four daughters, Mrs. Frank Vlens of
Greenfield, Mass,, Mrs, A. D, Jarvs
of Plattsburg, Mrs. Alfred Vlens of
North Adams, Mass., and Mrs. Edgar
LaDuke of Keeseville; two broth
ers, David and Wilfred Xing of Chazy
Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Delia Tague
of Troy, Mrs. Amelia Riley of Platts
bung and Mrs. Phoebe Fournier of
Chazy Lake, and twenty grandchildren*
funeral services were held at nine
o’clock Thursday morning from the
Catholic church in Lyon Mountain.
Interment was in the Church Cemetery.

In Memoriam
Frank Fournier, a well known and
respected resident of Chazy Lake died
suddenly at his home at 1:30 A. M., on
December 8, at the age of 5 2 years.
Although Mr. Fournier ihad been ailing
for the last fifteen years, his
death was a sorrowful surprise TO
many.
In his home he was a kind and
loving husband and father, the -welfare
of his family being first in his
thoughts. His death brings sorrow
in a happy home and loving family,
and leaves a vacant place which never
can be filled.
He leaves to mourn his loss his
aged mother, his wife, two sons,., Clifford
and Datu’s, one daughter, Mrs.
B. Hulburt, two grandchildren and
two sisters, Mrs. ,J. Gannon and Mrs.
J. V. Cumm.
Interment was in St. Joseph’s cemetery,
Dann’emora, at 9 o’clock December 10

buried in ST Joseph’s Cemetery, Dannemora, no stone. No parents listed on the death record, or the marrige
record. Della was adopted by Sullivan and Mary King and was raised by them in Dannemora.
Louis married Helen (ellen) Hamlin on 28 Jun 1883 at St Joseph’s in Dannemora, Clinton, NY, she was the
daughter of Charles and Margaret Gebo. It was the second marriage for her. She had four children with her first
husband, Herrick Sousie, two with her second husband, Louis Lacroix, and at least one with her third husband,
Antoine Robare. Della’s full sister was Delvia Mary Lacross, born 31 Mar 1887 in Dannemora, died 14 Jul 1959
in Ausable Forks, NY, married Elzear Dinelle in 1902.
Sophy Lewis (sic)-Sophia Robare was Della’s half sister, she married a James St Louis.

Beacon, after a year long illness. Born in Valley Field, Qc, Ca, she was married to Eli Gagne in ValleyField and
moved to Redford NJ where he died 26 Dec 1941. Mrs Gagne who has been attending St. Joachim’s Church was a
member of the Rosary Society in Redford, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Relief Corps of Sarnac NY and the
Saranac Valley Grange.Surviving are three sons: Pynell Gonyea …, Clement Gonyea in service in Korea and Gerand Gonyea… plus her
daughters:Mrs Dorothy Bouyea, Mrs Helen Yasment, Mrs Catherine Whitehead and Mrs Monica Brault; a sister
Mrs. Sophie Lewis of Massena, 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at
Hignell Funeral home, willow st and St Joachim’s new cemetery

his wile, Veda Eseltin Gonyea,
73, were killed last Thursday
when their car coiled with a
milk tanker the accident
occurred at the intersection of
Highway 27 and SR-70, near
Late Radd, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Gonyea Lived
at 3607 S. l0th St ,Fort Pierce.
According to Trooper Joe
Sheppard of the Highway
Patrol, the Gonyees were
traveling east on SR-79 and
drove right Into the path” of
the tanker. Both (died instantly.
the driver of the milk
tanker, Wallace Fair of
Dama, Fla., was reported to
reported in good condition at Highlands
General Hospital.
Gonyea was a native of
Saranac Hollow, NY., and Ms
wife was born at Brandon
Center. Gonyea was a retired
chef, and Mrs. Gonyea was a
retired nurse. Both had
worked at the Reckland State
Hospital before moving to
Fort Pierce ten years ago.
Mrs. Gonyea leaves a
brother, Lester Eseitme of
Tupper Lake, N.Y.
The funeral took place
Monday, July 28 , at 11:30 a.m.
in St Mark’s Cathotic Church.
Burial was in Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens.
