CHATEAUGAY — Funeral
services for Louis Secore, 79, who
died Friday afternoon at CVPH
Medical Center at Plattsburgh,
were held Tuesday afternoon at the
Chateaugay Funeral Home.
The Rev Bealer Berauist officiated.
Burial will be in the
Brainardsville Cemetery later.

Delore Secore
BARKER. NY. — Delore Secore,
59. died Sunday at the Niagara Falls
Memorial Hospital.
He was bom March 12. 1922 in
Ellenburg. the son of Louis and Vivian
(Collins) Secore.
The veteran of World War II and
member of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars worked for Southland Frozen
Foods in Barker as a maintenance
technician.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda
Atkinson; five sons. Gary of
Brainardsville. Robert and Ralph,
both of Cohoes, Richard and Kevin,
both of Barker; four daughters,
Mrs. William (Linda) Murphy of
Mesa. Arizona. Mrs. Austin (Sue)
Wilcox of Albany. Holly and
Christine, both of Barker; three
brothers. Louis and Harry, both of
Brainardsville .  Robert of
Kesseville. and three sisters, Mrs
Wendell (Dorothy) Kent of
Massena, Mrs. John (Irene) Gardner
of Lyndonville Mrs Paul
(Marion) Demarse of Connecticut.
Calling hours will be at the
Chateaugay Funeral Home 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be held 11
a.m. Thursday at the Chateaugay
Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in the Brainardsville
Cemetery.

Harry H. Secore
BRAINARDSVILLE-
Harry H. Secore, 53, of
Brainardsville, died Sunday,
Oct. 25, 1987, in CVPH Medical
Center, Plattsburgh.
He was born Dec. 21, 1933, in
Malone, the son of Vivian (Collins)
and Louis Secore Sr.
Mr. Secore had formerly been
a heavy-equipment operator, was
a member of Local 106
Operating Engineers Union, and
was employed at Northeast
Farms in Ellenburg prior to his
retirement due to illness.
Survivors include his wife, the
former Dora LaMere, whom he
married Oct. 18, 1958, in
Brainardsville  Methodist
Church; two sons and there wives,
Donald and Laurie Secore
of Brainardsville and William
a n d Marjorie Secore of
Danielson, Conn.; four grandchildren:
a sister. Mrs. John
(Irene) Gardner of Cadysville,
N.Y.; two brothers, Louis Secore
of Brainardsville and Robert
Secore of Cadyville; and several
nieces and nephews.
A son, Peter Secore, died
March 14, 1984; three brothers,
Ed, Ernest and, Delore, and
three sisters, Marion Limoges,
Helen Chatelle and Dorothy
Kent, died previously.
Calling hours will be from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at
Chateaugay Funeral Home. A
funeral service will be held at 1
p.m. Wednesday at Braindardsville
United Methodist Church
with the Rev. David O. Stanton
officiating. Burial will be in
Brainardsville Cemetery.

The funeral of Roy Secore, of
Ellenburgh, who died in the Alice
Hyde Hospital in Malone on Monday
night of last week, was held
in the school house in the Banner
House district at 10 o’clock. Deceased
was 19 years of age and was
highly esteemed by all of his
friends and associates. He is survived
by, his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Secore, and four sisters and
three brothers, Mrs. Alfred King,
of Chazy Lake, Mrs. Dennie Gadway,
of Tupper Lake, Mrs, Leonard
Collins, of Ellenburgh and Miss Alniira
and Edward, who reside with
their parents in Ellenburgh, Delore,
of Alburg, Vt. and Lewis, who resides
at the Forge. Rev. Walter
Ross, pastor of the Presbyterian
church in Chateaugay, officiating.
The esteem in which he was held
by the people, of Ellenburgh, was
manifested by the large concourse
of people who attended the funeral.

Mrs. Myra Peryea
LAKE PLACID — Mrs. Myra
Peryea, 73, died Tuesday morning
at Lake Placid Memorial Hospital.
She was born Dec. 13, 1903 in
Ellenburg, the daughter of Fred and
Eva (Gadway) Secore.
She leaves four daughters, Mrs.
Francis (Eva) Sheffield of Lake
Placid, Mrs. Louis (Ruth) Benware
of Tupper Lake, Mrs. Bruce (Norma)
Campbell of Trillium. Wash,
and Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Gratton of
Schenectady; two brothers, Delore
Secore of Malone and Edward
Secore of Lyon Mountain; two
sisters, Lucy King of Malone and
Delima Collins of Beekmantown; 19
grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was the widow of Owen
Peryea.
Friends may call at the Drown
Funeral Home in Ellenburg today
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10
a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverside
Cemetery, Ellenburg Center

Mrs. Lucy King
CHATEAUGAY - Mrs. Lucy
King, 87, died Tuesday morning at
the Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone.
She was born June 15, 1890 in
Ellenburg, the daughter of Fred and
Eva (Gadway) Secore.
She is survived by one son, Earl of
Chateaugay; two brothers, Edward
Secore of Lyon Mountain and
Delord Secore of Malone; one sister,
Mrs. Issac (Delima)- Collins of
Plattsburgh; one grandson, Gary
King of Cape Vincent, and two
great-grandchildren.
CaHing hours will be held at the
Chateaugay Funeral Home from 7
to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral services will be Thursday
at 9:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church
in Chateaugay.
Entombment will be in St.
Patrick’s Cemetery to await spring
Burial.
