Mary Mercedes Legacy

Mrs. Antoine Yando ,
The death of Mrs. Antoine Yando,
of which brief mention was made in
this department of last week, passed
away at the Springfield, Mass, Mercy
Hospital Monday at 1:30 p. m. Mrs
Yando spent her entire life in Burke
where she was widely known and had
many friends who will greatly regret
to hear of her death.
Two years ago the family moved:
to Ludlow, Mass., where they have
since resided and where she was a
devoted member of her church.
The funeral was held Wednesday
morning from St. Jean Baptiste
church of Ludlow, Rev. Father. Jabot
officiating, following the church services
interment was in St. Aloysius
cemetery at Indian Orchard.
She leaves to mourn, her loss a
husband and six children, Leola,
Gerald, Velma, Marion, Evelyn, and
Ann Marie; her mother, Mrs. Joseph
Legacy, of Malonef three sisters,
Mrs,’ James Dunn, of Bellmont, Mrs.
Dominic Saurel, of Burke, Mrs. Gilbert
Pechette of Schuylerville; six
brothers, Fred, of Ludlow, Clarence
and Lawrence, of Malone, James,
William and George, of Bellmont.
Much sympathy is extended to the
bereaved family.

Joseph Legacy  57years.
died Oct. 1st. 1918 he
was born in Chateaugay , New York
„ . and resided there „
youth and early manhood, later settling
in Bellmont, where he followed
farming for a number of years. About
two years aero he retired from the
farm and came to this village to reside.
His health had been failing for
several months. Mr. “”Legacy was a
conscientious, industrious, upright
man. a kind neighbor and a good citizen
and brings sorrow to all who knew Him
His wife and 11 childern survive  him together
with two sisters. Matildia Barcomb of Chateaugay
Mrs Robery Mooney of Pawtucket,RI.
The furenal took place Friday, Interment St Patrick’s cemetery.

Mary Matilda Legacy

BARCOMB.—At Chateaugay, Aug.
25, after a year or more of falling
health, Mrs. Mary Barcomb, widow of
the late Frank Barcomb. aged 86
years.
Mrs. Barcomb was a native of Malone,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
William Legacy, who moved to Chat
eaugay when she was 4«He young.
Mrs. Bareomb had since resided there.
She was a practical, consistent Christian
woman and kindly neighbor and
friend. Her funeral was held from
St Patrick’s  Catholic church on Friday.
Deceased is-survived my one son
William F Barcomb and one sister Mrs
Robert Mooney.

Frank Miller
SARANAC LAKE - Frank
Miller, 90, died in CVPH Medical
Center in Plattsburgh Friday, Aug.
13 1982
He was born Feb. 29,1892, in Standish,
the son of Izare and Ida (Yell)
Miller.
Mr. Miller lived in Saranac Lake
for more than 55 years. He was a
mason and a bricklayer.
He was married to Myra Barcomh Miller,
who died in 1978.
Survivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Anna Peryea of Dannemora
and Ethel of New Hampshire.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
The Keough and Son
Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services are tentatively
scheduled for 11:15 a.m. Monday at
St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac
Lake. The Rev. John Yonkovig will
officiate.
Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

M. McDonald, 67. died Wednesday,
Sept. 11, 1991, at the
CVPH Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1923, in
Pittsburgh, the daughter of
Wesley and Mammie (Tourville)
Miller.
Survivors include her husband,
Alfred McDonald of
Mooers Forks; a son, Thomas
McDonald of Mooers Forks;
three daughters, Susan Miller of
Mooers Forks, Elaine Alger of
Rouses Point and Carol Fitzwater
of Mooers Forks; three
sisters, Eldora McDonald of
Dannemora, Annabelle Campbell
of Churubusco and Joan
Bouchard of Plattsburgh; three
brothers, Roland Miller of Ellenburg
Center, Harold Miller of
Merrill and Morris Miller of
Pawling; six grandchildren and a
great-grandchild. A brother,
Gerald Miller, died earlier.
Calling hours will be held at
the E.F. Drown Funeral Service
in Ellenburg Depot from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. A
Mass of Christian burial will.be
held at 10 a.m. Friday at St.
Ann’s Church, Mooers Forks.
Burial will be in Whispering
Maples Memorial Gardens,
Ellenburg Depot.

Wesley Joseph Miller,85, died
Friday morning at the CVPH
-Medical Center.
 He was born May 25,1893 in
Ellenburg the son of Silas and
 Adeline (LaBombard) Miller.
He was a retired farmer.
 He is survived by his wife, the
former Mamie Tourville; three
sons. Roland Miller of Ellenburg
Center, Morris Miller of Pawling
and Harold Miller of Merrill; four
daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Eveline)
McDonald of Mooers Forks, Mrs.
Aldora McDonald and Mrs. Gary
(Joan) Bouchard, both of Plattsburgh,
and Mrs. John (Annabel)
Campbell of Churubusco; three
sisters, Mrs. Ethel Carter of Ellenburg
Center, Mrs. William (Mattie)
Motsko of Johnson City and
Mrs. .Jessie (Mildred) Wellers of
San Antonio, Texas; 30 grandc
hildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be at the
Drown Funeral Home in Ellenburg
Depot 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral services will be held
Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Edmund’s
Church in Ellenburg

CHAZY LAKE — Anna Peryea.
90 died at the CVPH Medical Center
Saturday evening.
She was born in Altona on Jan. 2nd
1890. the daughter of Izare and
Lydia (Oryell) Miller.
She was a housekeeper at the rectories
at St. John’s in Plattsburgh
and the catholic church in
Keeseville.
Her husband. John, died in 1960
She is survived by four sons. John
of Keeseville. Bernard of Chazy
Lake. Leo of Grand Isle  KY. and
Norman of Underhill. Vt.; eight
daughters. Anna King of Chary
Lake. Emma King of Chazy Lake,
Leona Dobbs of Peru. Velma King
of Keeseville: Muriel Larsen of
Elizabeth. Ky Hortense Ashline of
Connth, Thelma Irwin of Peru and
Christine Shephard of Richman.
British Columbia a brother. Frank
Miller of Saranc Lake a sister.
Ethel Babineau of New Hampshire.
48 grandchildren and 107 great grandchildren
calling hours will be at Leazot Funeral
Home in Altona today from 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m
Funeral service will be held Tuesday
at 10 a.m at Holy Angels Chuch in Altona.
