THEODORE BENOIT
DIED WEDNESDAY
Theodore Benoit, formerly of Cadyville,
died at Saranac Lake
Wednesday. He was 31 years old.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs.
Leda Burnell Benoit of Plattsburgh”;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Benoit of St. Albans, Vt., three sisters,
Mrs. Raymond Burnell of
D’annemora, Mrs. John Stow of
Morrisonville and Mrs. Harold Rugar
of Plattsburgh; four brothres,
Leo, Every, Earl, and Charles, all
of St. Albans.
Funeral services will be held In
St. James church at Cadyville this
morning at nine o’clock, the funeral
cortege leaving Brown’s funeral
home at 8:30 a. m. Burial will be in
St. James cemetery

Mrs. Maxime Patenaude
At her home in Stockwell, Que.,
Friday, January sixteenth, occurred
the death of Mrs. Maxime Patenaude,
widow of the late Maxime Patenaude
at the age of seventy seven years.
Mrs. Patenaude had been in declining
health for the past few years but
was confined to the bed only about
three weeks when the, end came.
Mrs. Patenaude, whose maiden
name was Philomina Benoit was
united in marriage in-1858′ with.Mr.
Pautenaude, who passed away in
1916 they lived-over fifty years at
her late residence. They celebrated
their golden wedding in 1908 and
Mrs. Patenaude at that time was in
the best of health. She was always
an ardent worker, having conducted
the post office at Stockwell for forty
five years besides performing, her
household duties.
She was a woman of exceptionally
fine , personality and character and
was loved by all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her loss eight
children, five daughters and three
sons, Mrs. H. Gervais of St’ Antoine
Que., Mrs. Clarinda Cassidy of Chateaugay,
Mrs. Paul Langevin of
Ellenburg Center, Mrs. Edgar Gagnier
of CherubuscO, Mrs. Machon of
Wheaton, 111., Rufus Patenaude of
Montpelier. Ohio, Benoit Patenaude
of Stockwell, Que., and O. Patenaude
of Spooner, Wis.
Funeral services were heldf at St.
Antoine Abbe church on Monday
January nineteenth, Rev. Maypu officiating.
The family have the sympathy of
their many friends in their sad
bereavement.
