Edna P. Parr, 89, died at 5:04 a.m. Aug. 8, 2010, at Springview Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1920, to Frank L. and Alta M. Shoffner Hastings, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married Richard “Dick” Parr, who died May 17, 2001.
Mrs. Parr was a 1938 graduate of Waynesfield High School, Waynesfield. She retired as a billing clerk from Superior Candy & Tobacco Co. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening, especially her rose gardens. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandson.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Williams, of Lima; a grandson, Gary L. Williams, of Lima; a great-granddaughter, Ashley N. Williams; and five nieces and nephews, Rick, Kelly, Deb, Rhonda and Kim.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard D. Williams; and a brother, Charles Hastings.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. today at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Pastor Jerry Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.
