Herbert Yelle
dies after long
illness

Herbert W. Yelle, 67, died
Friday night at the Cham plain
Valley Unit of the Plattsburgh
Medical Unit. He had been 111
for some time.
He was born In Ellenburg on
July 2, 1900, the son of Peter
and Alice Boyea Yelle. He lived
his entire life in the Ellenburg
and Chateaugay areas. Until his
retirement for health reasons
three years ago, he was employed
in the remelt section of
Alcoa at Massena for many years.
He was a member of St. Patrick’s
Church, Chateaugay, and
of Wadham’s Council, Knights
of Columbus.
On December 29, 1919, he
was married to the former Addle
Dominic in St. Edmund’s Church,
Ellenburg. His wife survives.
Also surviving are two daughters,
Mrs. Harold (Helma) Brooks
of Chateaugay, and Mrs. Arthur
(Ina) Keysor of Burke; two
brothers, Clifford and George,
both of Ellenburg; three sisters,
Mrs. Edgar (Mae) Bow of Ellenburg,
Mrs. Ida Nelson of Bing
hamton; three grandchildren and
his stepmother, Mrs. Addie Rollo
Yelle of Ellenburg.
Friends called at the home of
his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Keysor
of the Burke-Chateaugay Road
until funeral services on Monday
morning at St. Patrick’s Church.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.
