Richard G. Ashline
Chazy Lake ? Richard G. Ashline, 92, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at his home in Chazy Lake.
He was born in Chazy Lake on Jan. 27, 1908, the son of George and Carrie (Ero) Ashline.
Richard was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Dannemora. He was a lifelong farmer and also built several homes in the area.
Survivors include his wife, Edith (Reyor) Ashline of Chazy Lake; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bernard Ashline of Chazy Lake and Richard and Irene Ashline of Queensbury; a brother and sister-in-law, Laverne and Belle Ashline of Greenfield Center; two sisters and a brother-in-law, June and Vern Gibbs of Plattsburgh and Marjorie Poupore of Glens Falls; a sister-in-law, Hortense Ashline of Northville, N.Y.; a grandson, Brian Ashline; three great-grandchildren, Brian Ashline Jr., Katlyn Ashline and Hannah Marie Ashline; and several nieces and nephews.
His brother Maynard and a sister, Mildred Howarth, died before him.
Calling hours were Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 14th, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph?s Church in Dannemora. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery
